Product description of SKF Bearing 135 TN9

SKF Bearing 135 TN9, Self-aligning ball bearings have two rows of balls, a common sphered raceway in the outer ring and two deep uninterrupted raceway grooves in the inner ring. They are available open or sealed. The bearings are insensitive to angular misalignment of the shaft relative to the housing, which can be caused, for example, by shaft deflection, and we have related type you may also like SKF Bearing 13940.

Due to the curved raceway on the outer ring, self-aligning ball bearings are tolerant of misalignment between the shaft and housing and deflections of the shaft. They can thus compensate static and dynamic angular defects within certain angular limits in a rotating shaft system.

In the self-aligning ball bearing, two rows of rolling elements are supported in two raceway grooves in the inner ring. The raceway on the outer ring has a curved form. The cage combines the two rows of balls and the inner ring to form a unit that can align itself by snivelling relative to the outer ring.

They are used particularly in sectors such as agricultural machinery, conveying equipment, simple woodworking machinery and ventilators.

SKF Bearing 135 TN9, Self-aligning ball bearings are better suited to higher speeds on account of their point contact, than barrel roller bearings with line contact. The bearings run more quietly and at lower temperatures than bearings with comparable specified characteristics.

Self-aligning ball bearings are particularly suitable:
if there is skewing between the outer and inner ring (for the compensation of angular misalignment) SKF Bearing 135 TN9, for bearing arrangements with high radial loads for higher speeds on account of their point contact, than barrel roller bearings with line contact where bearings with the above-mentioned characteristics are expected to run more quietly and at lower temperatures, even at high speeds The self-aligning ball bearing was invented by SKF. It has two rows of balls and a common sphered raceway in the outer ring. The bearing is consequently self-aligning and insensitive to angular misalignment of the shaft relative to the housing. It is particularly suitable for apple-cations where considerable shaft deflections or misalignment are to be expected. Additionally, the self-aligning ball bearing has the lowest friction of all rolling bearings, which enables it to run cooler even at high speeds.
SKF Bearing 135 TN9, SKF produces self-aligning ball bearings to several designs. These are
· open bearings of the basic design sealed bearings
· open bearings with an extended inner ring
Basic design
The basic design self-aligning ball bearing is available with a cylindrical bore or, in certain size ranges, with a tapered bore (taper 1:12).
Large self- aligning ball bearings in the 130and 139 series originally developed for specific applications in paper mills, can be used in any application where low friction is preferred over high load carrying capacity. These bearings are provided with an annular groove and lubrication holes in the outer ring and lubrication holes in the inner ring.
The balls of some bearings in the 12 and 13series protrude from the sides of the bearing. The values of the protrusion are provided in table 1 and should be considered when design-ing the associated components of the bearing arrangement.
