FAG Bearing

                                 FAG Bearing

FAG brand also originated from the inspiration of a genius. As early as 1883, Friedrich Fischer designed a special steel ball grinder in Schweinford, Germany, which made it possible for the first time to produce a steel ball with a complete ball by using the grinding process. The invention is considered as the cornerstone of the rolling bearing industry. This is why FAG has become one of the leading brands in machinery manufacturing, automotive industry and aerospace technology. In the world’s major industrial countries, there are FAG companies, branches and sales agents.

Since 2001, FAG has become a part of Schaeffler Group and has played an active and important role in the aerospace, automotive and industrial fields of the Group. Combined with INA products, FAG has the most complete product outline in the rolling bearing industry. It covers all applications in production machinery, power transmission and railway, heavy industry and consumer goods industries.

Schaeffler Group of Germany is a global leader in the production of rolling bearings and linear motion products, and is also one of the most prestigious suppliers in the automotive industry. The Group has about 65000 employees worldwide and more than 180 branches in more than 50 countries, with sales of about 7.3 billion euros in 2009. This makes Schaeffler Group one of the largest family business groups in Germany and Europe. Schaeffler Group owns three brands: INA, LuK and FAG, providing high-quality bearings and parts for automotive, industrial and aerospace fields.

Brief introduction

FAG bearing brand also originated from the inspiration of a genius. As early as 1883, in the small town of Schweinfurt in Germany, Friedrich Fischer designed a special steel ball grinder, which made it possible for the first time to use the grinding process to produce steel balls with complete balls. The invention is considered as the cornerstone of the rolling bearing industry. This is also the reason why FAG bearing has been recognized as the pioneer of rolling bearing technology for a long time. Today, FAG bearing has become one of the leading brands in machinery manufacturing, automotive industry and aerospace technology. In the world’s major industrial countries, there are FAG bearing companies, branches and sales agents.

FAG bearings produce all kinds of ball bearings and roller bearings with an outer diameter from 3mm to 4.25m, including standard products based on samples and non-standard products based on special requirements of users. FAG Bearing and INA Bearing jointly provide customers with a series of comprehensive and perfect services and technical support, including: inspection, maintenance, assembly and disassembly of bearings and bearing systems.

As a forward-looking enterprise, FAG Bearing has also invested a lot of money in research and development. The modern simulation technology, testing equipment and special material laboratory provide reliable support for the continuous development and improvement of each production line, and also provide guarantee for maintaining the strong innovation ability of FAG bearings.

Application of FAG bearing

Since 2001, FAG has become a part of Schaeffler Group and has played an active and important role in the aerospace, automotive and industrial fields of the Group. Combined with INA products, FAG has the most complete product outline in the rolling bearing industry. It covers all applications in production machinery, power transmission and railway, heavy industry and consumer goods industries.

Deep groove ball bearing

FAG deep groove ball bearing is a universal and self retaining bearing with solid outer ring, inner ring, ball and cage assembly. These products are simple in design, long in service life and easy to maintain; It can be divided into single row and double row design and opening and sealing design. Due to the production technology used, the split bearing can still be turned into the recess on the outer ring for sealing or protection.

Because of their low friction torque, they are suitable for high speeds.

Angular contact ball bearing

Single row angular contact ball bearing is a self retaining unit with solid inner ring and outer ring, ball and nylon, steel plate or brass cage components. The inner race and outer race race are offset each other in the axial direction of the bearing. There are open and sealed bearings. They have very little self – adjustment ability.

Many sizes of angular contact ball bearings are designed by X-life. These bearings are shown in the dimension table. X-life quality bearings have improved raceway shapes and optimized surfaces. This makes the fatigue limit load of the bearing significantly improved. In the revised service life calculation, the life value has been increased by more than 50%. Therefore, smaller bearings can be used if necessary in specific applications.

Double row angular contact ball bearing is a unit composed of solid inner and outer rings, ball and cage made of polyamide, pressed steel sheet or brass. They are similar in structure to a pair of single row angular contact ball bearings with O-ring arrangement, but more compact in structure. They have different contact angles and bearing ring designs.

Bearings can be open and sealed. Due to the production technology used, the outer ring of the open bearing has a cutting groove for sealing or dust cover. Sealed bearings require no maintenance and are particularly suitable for economical bearing applications. The self-aligning range of angular contact ball bearings is very small.

High-precision Components, Systems, and Bearing Solutions

By delivering high-precision components and systems in engine, transmission, and chassis applications, as well as rolling and plain bearing solutions for a large number of industrial applications, the Schaeffler Group is shaping “Mobility for tomorrow” to a significant degree.
